1 Palm on 2 PCs

Does anybody here know if I can hotsync my palm stuff on 2 PCs without any screw-ups?

Cannot really fail, as long as you make sure that you hotsync MAIL and DOCSTOGO on only ONE PC!! Before I knew this I once had an entire Outlook Inbox wiped clean.

This means: install Palm Desktop WITH Mail conduit on one PC and install Palm Desktop WITHOUT Mail conduit on the other
Install DocsToGo on only one PC (I guess, but am not sure, that the same goes for AvantGo).

If this scares you (be sure to have a backup in a safe place anyway) you can set-by-hand what-overwrites-what for the first hotsync on each PC.

I have a Win98SE system at home and a WinNT system at work, and I use both to HotSync my Palm. Never had a problem (well, more recently I couldn't HotSync at home, but it seems now it was just a loose connection. It works now).

I haven't used DocsToGo, but I have used AvantGo on both machines in the past and it seemed fine (these days I just use it at work). It will probably even help you in case you have problems with your Palm data on the device or on your computer - now you have your data in two places. Seems like a great solution to me!
