Hi all,

I have just switched to Mac (bought an Ibook 1ghz) and have the bluetooth card in it (for wireless kbd and mouse).

First of all, I have installed the Mac version of palm soft, however it has not synced nor with entourage, or the included repertory. Any way to have the palm syncd with entourage OR the included software ?

Also, I wanted to enable Bluetooth syncing, as well as an internet link for my palm.
However, in my T preferences I can't find any place where I could enable Bluetooth... the "other" section is empty.

Could someone direct me to a "welcome Mac newby with your palm" page that could help me ?
Also, can someone help me with those bluetooth points (sync/net enabling) ?

Thank you Very much in advance...

tgeffroyd@hotmail.com would be the best !

I'll reply to my own request,

There are conduits from mac (Isync) that are available on the Apple site. This one will synchronize Palm with Icalc and adress book.
http://www.apple.com/isync/download/index.html#palm

Also, Microsoft is providing a conduit to syn plam OS with entourage.
http://www.microsoft.com/Mac/DOWNLOAD/officex/palmsync.asp

I have seen on the web a conduit (sold 15$) that allows both, and transfers from one (Ical) to another (calendar of Entourage).

I have been using a Mac with palm and have found that ooccaionally the USB is a bit 'flaky'. Try restarting the Mac and then try the 'cradle button' or the 'Hotsync button' to sync. Should all work OK?

Try this link for Entourage?

Switch to Palm Desktop, iSync is p*ss sh*t slow and buggy.

iSync takes ten minutes just to work out what planet it's on and doesnt handle categories...

Palm Desktop is badly styled and has it's faults but never skips a beat as far as syncing is concerned.

I love the idea of the Mac 'i' suite, it looks great but tries to do do too much for too many machines, resulting in a compromise in usability for everyone.

I agree with tierryhenry. PalmDesktop with the Mac works flawlessly.

Some tips to get it to work with OS X:

- be sure to install the PalmDesktop application from the included CD. The online version does not support the T3.

- after installing, run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions.

- go to versiontracker.com and download Onyx. Under Optimize, Execute All Scripts.

I have never had a problem with USB hotsync running OS X. If the above tips don't work, let me know. Good luck!
