I had a 760c and I traded it in for an nr-70v. I enjoy the nr-70v much more than I ever did the 760c. Now that the NX70 has come out, start to watch this pda bwcause it will be fallng in price soon.

When I bought mine i paid lick 450-500 dollars brand new, which was like 4 to 5 months ago. I would say you are getting a very good deal if you can get it new for 300 dollars. If thats what you are looking for and you obviously have a good price to grab, I say go for it.

As fearlessfozz points out, the NR70V is a very good unit, and I agree, it is an excellent system with much flexibility and capability. It meets your MP3 and high-resolution screen requirements too. However, nothing is cheap if it is not what you want. Be sure of ALL your requirements before parting with two hundred nicker. Ultimately, you are the best one to decide if the unit is what you want.
If you are thinking of, or already have, a wireless network, it is likely that you will want to include you PDA. The only Sony wireless access for the NR70V is Bluetooth via Memory Stick. (Not officially supported outside of Japan.) It is not likely that Sony will create a Wi-Fi Memory Stick as they have just released the NX70V which accepts an 802.11 card with incompatible topology.
Go to a shop (preferably one with knowledgable staff,) and play with the demo model. Fozz and me won't tell a soul...

I'll cry later at the loss of your iiic, but first, my personal advice, and what I most certainly would do: GET AN NR70V!!!
My reasons:
Best resolution in the handheld market(excluding nr70 and nx70v)
Mp3 playing ability
66 mhz processor in the palm market(excluding tunsten t, t665c, nr70 and nx70v)
Keyboard(sure it's wierd, but I tried it out in the store and was suprised at how easy to use it was, despite its size)
Swivel-a-bob screen (basically like a built in metal case)
Camera(ouch!, imagine, always being able to take pictures whenever you want? hehehe)
16ram, 8 flash
You can get one for about 300 dollars on ebay if you look hard enough(I just got one, shipping & insurance paid, for $350, including a 64mb stick and all original stuff)
It might be more for you because of overseas shipping, but even if you have to lay down an extra 50 £, do it! Just keep telling yourself: camera, keyboard, resolution, mp3, mem stick, speed, memory, I AM NOT A GEEK! camera, keyboard, reso.....

Sorry abt your IIIC whose prob with the digitizer was well documented. ;)
I agree with the guys that NR70v is the way to go, with the NX70v now out (soon in other places), you can get a NR70v at very good price and it should last you quite awhile.
If you don't need the extra features like the camera, mini-keyboard and don't like clamp-shell, try T665.
Good luck.
