Guess I just don't get it!! Can I use my Ique in England when I go on vacation? I will be driving all over the place, and figured the 3600 will come in handy...Do I really have to fork out $350 for the European Maps??? HELP!!

Unless you want to rely on the notoriously inaccurate basemap with no address info, you're pretty much in the hands of Garmin and Navtech for those EU City Select maps........

You can go with Europe Metroguide which is a lot cheaper but does not do routing. Search for a thread called "Europe Map Options".

Or you could go with the really cheap <20$ mapopolis - it does routing. Unfortunately it does not support iQue's GPS.
So it won't show where you are on the map.

I am trying to convince Mapopolis to support the iQue, but they say there is only lukewarm interest and therefore not worth their time and effort. The map bundle for Europe is $125 or you can purchase individual maps and Mapopolis just updated their software with some nice improvements. Send an e-mail to support@mapopolis.com and let them know you are interested in support for the iQue. Hopefully, if they receive enough e-mails they will change their mind.

Way ahead of you. Look at the thread called "NMEA plug-in".

I had no idea this lobbying effort was already under way. Sounds like it won't take too much for Mapopolis to support GPS on the iQue, we just need to let them know there is more than a lukewarm interest.

Received the following from Mapopolis....might be something forth coming near future? And Thanks for the help here...Great forums!
Hi,
We may in the future. Right now our Palm OS 5 Platinum Map Pack for
$34.95 works on the IQ but the GPS device is not supported (by
Platinum+GPS or Navigator).
Actually interest is starting to climb for this so maybe we should
start a list of interested people.
I will put you first on that list.
