I've been threatening for weeks, so here's how my Que lives in the car:

Nice clean mount! Nice to mount it under the dash lip, as opposed to on top. Hope the adhesive holds over time. Seems to hold well if it has a nice flat surface to grip. I noticed one application we did, had a slight curve to the dash when we mounted it on top, and it eventually came off. However, when we moved it over to a flatter (yet less desirable place) it held well, and continues to after almost a year now.

One more thing.....Isn't your steering wheel on the wrong side? <g>

Excuse me for the second post, but now I have a question. Whats that little device held on by suction cups, under the Ique? I guess I am not familiar with a re-radiator.

There's no way that mount is coming off.. I used "evo-stik", I have no clue if it's available stateside, but it's a contact adhesive and never lets go. (ever) ..I'm going to have to sell the car with the mount attached because I'll wreck the dash if I try & cut it out.

You know, I wondered why I had to lean all the way over to steer.. ;)

That's the reradiating part of the reradiating antenna.. You have an antenna like a Gilsson on the roof of the car, which is wired to that plastic tube thing, it's a broadcast antenna, it can go up to 3m from the Que, but this was the easiest place to mount it for me as it also needs power from the lighter socket.

I have a 4 way power splitter under the drivers seat which powers the iQue, the Nav Kit, my mobile phone charger and the GPS speed camera detector (The thing with the blue light)

rkevwill,

The thread below morphed into pointers on reradiating antenna, on which peztone has good experience.

Thanks for the quick reply. In the short time between my post, and your response, I did a search in the forum and found some extensive discussion by you and others regarding this. I was not familiar with this particular technology, but am now:) Cable installer? Now I understand the cable ties trimmed etc. Most people I know would have used twist ties from their bread bags! (I prefer your method)

I would have used black cable ties but .. well, er.. there were none in my tool box.

I install miles of cat5e every week, white cable ties I never run out of!
