g'day all

hoping someone can tell me if a Revo Plus is able to Sync with Lotus notes R5 (released 2001)

It can! I had my 5mx doing it. What you need is a product called InSync Pro. I don't know if you can still get hold of it or not. This supported Lotus 4 and there was an update on the Psion site that added support for Notes 5.

If you can't locate it, then e-mail me off line, and I can see what I can do.

Let me know if you do it ok. I have PsiWin 2.3.3 and Insync Pro and InSync Pro(e) and can only get Contacts/Anniversaries/Events to Synchronise. For some reason meetings do not work. Is this possible??

At least you have the 2 synchronising. I only have a one way connection from R5 to Psion.
On top of that, I saw that it is doubling my number of contacts on my Psion.

Q: Have the security settings changed on R5? It seems that the data I have on my Psion in Agenda/Contacts/ToDo/etc. may not be written in R5.:confused:

Try setting up individual sync tasks for all the items to see which one is causing the problem. that is how I found out that the meetings were a problem.

I now have solved part of my problem. The fact that I couldn't write back to Lotus Notes was due to the default setting version 4.5/4.6 whilst mine has been upgraded to 5.0. :D

Having changed the setting, everything works fine, more or less.
I now have to cope with several double entries on both machines, which I still have to eliminate.
I also have troubles synchronising the Events. DT43420, how did you solve this?

Good to see i am not the only person with this problem.

I will try and get hold of InSync Pro and give it a go. any specific instructions or suggestions would be great -

Is anyone actually syncing a Revo Plus or just 5mx's

I am the proud owner of a Revo+.:)
and until moving to XP and Lotus Notes R5 it all worked fine.

I have managed to sync events/anniversaires but not appointments yet. I just did this with the Insync Pro (e) software. Have you managed that yet?

Thanks folks, especially to one very helpful user.. now i can sync the PC to the Psion.

I am still working on getting the psion to send dates to the PC .. sounds like the problem others have had..

Any idea what changes (and where ) i need to make to the settings to get a 2 way sync?

i would like to update my Psion with notes 5.0, but befor bying InSync Pro I would like to test if it wirks in our Network or not. Does anybody know a place to get In Sync Pro for Lotus Notes 5.0?

try epoc synch 3.04 availible form the sofware libraries of this site.

Mine now perfectly synchs appointments/events/anniversaries but refuses to synch tasks. I also used the Insync Pro (e) software, updated for Lotus Notes R5.
3 down, 1 to go, therefore.
I dread the moment I decide to synch also e-mail...::(

Hi Erik,

How did you sync appointments? When I try, I can see it reading the Notes file and agenda file on the Psion, but it won't write to my Psion. Any help greatly appreciated, as this is driving me crazy!! Haven't dare to try email sync either!!

Nothing fancy, actually. I had to install all software from scratch because I had my harddisk replaced and XP installed. I took the advice mentioned somewhere in this thread to start synching one by one (so appointments first, then events, then anniversaries). It worked!:D

I only have some minor issues to solve now: because of the frequent trial and error with the 4.6 synch software, I now have double the number of contacts. I need to eliminate half of that. And, in the agenda my entries now have changed font. From the original 10/12 it has now more than doubled to 24/26pt. Haven't found a way to set the font yet to a more reasonable level.
