Hi
Can anyone help me, I am using the docking station via com1 connecting my Mako with Windows Me by Psiwin 2.3. Somehow the connetion icon on the bottom right show (window tray) is (curve) Ok. But when I open the window explore I can only see the "Not Connected" icon. I have no idea it some time works but sometime does not.

Thanks
Clark

does it connect if you double-click the 'Not Connected' icon in the Explore window?

you might have the mystery win98 not connected syndrome. i have this on my primary computer. no matter what you do it just won't connect.
cheers and good luck

note I suggested double-click not just click on the icon.

To clarify then, you are saying that the tray icon (bottom right of the screen) is showing a 'wiggly line' (curved not straight) but when you open the My Psion window it says not connected??

While you are trying to fix this, I suggest plugging the cable directly into the Revo and don't use the docking station.

If doing this does not immediately fix the problem, I suggest a complete reinstall of Psiwin. To do this you must clear the settings in the registry. Go to my FAQ at the URL below for instructions how to do this.

While you are trying to fix this, I suggest plugging the cable directly into the Revo and don't use the docking station. You cannot do this. The Revo has a socket which mates with a plug on the docking cradle (and it is not the Honda RS232 connector as used on other Psion devices). The cable to the PC is hard wired into the docking cradle. There is no option to use a normal PsiWin serial cable with a Revo.

Hi,
I found that when everytime I use the MS IE at the same time with PSIwin, It become not reliable...... sometime connected but some time doesn't, which I connect the revo on com 1, modem on com2 at home.

In the office my revo on com1 and internet on enthernet the only problem in there is the CopyAnyWhere not working if i start IE.

Thanks
Clark

Coo! Well, you learn something new every day... This is why it is such a pain if you want to connect a modem or mobile phone by cable - you have to use the docking cradle. Psion did intend to produce a "travel cable" to replace the docking cradle when travelling but, like so many of the things promised by Psion, it never saw the light of day
