copying

I wonder if anyone can help me with this, I have recently downloaded from the psion website Psiwin 2.3.3.and installed it to my new computer which runs windows XP, although the pc and
3mx can connect with each other I cannot copy files to the 3mx.
on all the shareware/freeware I have downloaded the installation notes state to copy the .opa files to the /app directory on the 3mx.

I do not have an app directory, however I do have an apd directory on the 3mx, (perhaps these are the same),
however this is pointless as I cannot copy to any directory at the moment,

the 3mx was bought brand new by me approx. 7 years ago, and the Pc is less than a year old and did not have any previous versions of Psiwin installed.

I would be grateful if someone could help as it is driving me nuts.

How are you trying to copy files? I always right click the file, "drag & drop" to the Psion and select 'Copy' from the menu options.I do not have an app directory, however I do have an apd directory on the 3mx, (perhaps these are the same).OPA files must go in an APP directory. To create an APP directory, place the cursor on an application that cannot create files, such as 'Time', and from the "Disk" menu, select "Make directory", give it the name APP, select the disk if you have SSDs installed and press Enter.

have created the APP directory as per you instructions, but still not able to copy the .opa files have tried several ways to copy
from your method to the "copy to folder" from the menu, edit,
selection, none of them work, any idea why?
