If it doesn't support the Tungsten T2, then why are you recommending it on a Tungsten FORUM?? The new version is designed for the T3 landscape and requires OS5 and above, but it states clearly not compatible with Tungsten T or T2. Well, there are a lot of T2 users out there.
This is the Tungsten Forum from hell, right? Is it me?
Go out and buy this app but it doesn't work with the Tungsten T or T2. Great. Maybe next week I'll get some drapes I hate, too.
Please recommend things (if you must) that are compatible with the majority of members here - or try posting it on the PPC side; they'd have about as much use for it (there is a PPC Version).

How can you recommend a piece of software that won't even run on your T2? Have you actually used the program? No. I read on another thread that you have a T2.`
How can we take anything you say seriously? You post on this forum more than anyone else but you have NOTHING valuable to offer, then you laugh. If you posted on our university boards you'd get flamed right out of the state.
Don't waste any more of our time with your useless dribble.

With regards to SO13: He has an opinion on everything.
I've got a registered copy of the new Bugme Notepad on my Treo and it does rock. There were initial installation issues that I attributed to a corrupted download from PalmCenter. Went and got one from the developer and we were good to go.
Still figuring out the interface. Strangely enough, the product didn't come with any real manual so I'm learning on the fly but it's definitely an improvement on a product that I already loved.....that's hard to do.

On the the Tungsten T series forums most palm users here got a Palm Tungsten T3. Even If they don't it will save them a trip to electricpocket.com. When they do here about it.
are really mean and it seems to be only a select few. I can imagine what you must be in "real life" to feel compelled to continuously pick on a 13 year old boy who just has a passion for palms. I bet you are all fat and ugly. Does it make you feel better to finally pick on someone because your whole life you've been picked on? Break the cycle...show some compassion. By golly.

Guys (PTL and xlr8)
Go easy on Scott. He is not wrong to post this on the TUNGSTEN board as T3 users out there may well be interested.
I agree this guy is a prolific poster but hey, he's young and obviously got lots of freetime!!
Likewise, his use of language did not make it clear that he was merely posting an advert rather than personal experience.
Don't dent the guys enthusiasm - merely point him in the right direction. This is a forum that allows free opinion and advice - let's not make it a bitching board !!
Rant Over !!
:D :
I too have the BugMe Notepad as per Moose and like the interface although not too sure that it is a real step change for ME and MY current usage of BugMe! app that has been around for sometime.
The biggest frustration I have with both BugMe! and BugMe!Notepad is that they both struggle with Tealscript's "Enable Globally" screen writing preference which I have set up and find invaluable so am not going to swithc off anytime soon!!

It is unfortunate when 2 things you like conflict; I remember Virtual Keyboard clashing with TealNotes on my 505 (can't use either on the T3, so that settles that!!).
Tealpoint have been working on a "workaround" for BugMe for at least 2 years (!!) and hopefully both companies can get together and sort it out. There is more reason to believe that companies will work together now since they're ALL being challenged by limited "wiggle room" with OS5 and now OS6.
And now for imgg.
I don't know how many of your 19 posts were contributory to this forum - most that I can remember just defended a guy that was LECTURED AT LEAST 4 TIMES by moderators for overclocking and posting nonsensical replies to old threads - clogging up the first page with responses that meant nothing, just for posting sake. Simply blocking that individual doesn't do anything about the dredging up of old posts in the roster, and that makes it harder for anyone actually trying to GLEEN INFORMATION to find it. Understand?
Our appearance shouldn't matter, and none of us have ever criticized anyone else's. It is you that should be ashamed of yourself. Time and time and time again we have tried to help individuals on this forum both personally and as a group. We have endured the same violations again and again, with much patience at least in the beginning. Check out some of OUR contributions to the general Palm knowledge base here by looking at our old threads -- and see if you can match it, rather than spew personal criticism.
There were a few actual GOOD posts from Scott, and I for one praised him when he was right. He flamed several of us on occasion and we actually fought the temptation to return the favor until it simply got too much.
This forum is about PALM OS topics -- perhaps we can all get back to that now.

To mirror some of PTL's comments:
There were multiple attempts behind closed doors by me and others that I know to "help".
Maybe we've been hard on a certain individual.....but that individual promised multiple times to "correct" this abhorrent behavior and did not.
You'll see my posts all over this forum and I personally have never been flamed by anyone except........
I have addressed unacceptable public behavior and inappropriate language......whether it be foul or otherwise. And if someone promises to "fix" their ways with very public apologies and doesn't then they will suffer abhorrent behavior on the part of the people that they offended.
That is what has happened here, IMHO.

Guys
Your points are valid and having read the majority of your posts I have seen what you have done on the forums by way of support. I just feel that knowing that this guy is a 13 yr old dyslexic is a reason for us to accept and 'ignore' bad posts - rise above the challenge and move on.
Anyway, looking forward not backwards....
Let's hope that TealSoftware and ElectricPocket find a solution sooner rather than later as I love both products but get so frustrated when the incompatability raises it's ugly head !!
As you say PTL lets talk Palm not personality....

Well said. Believe me, it's not my nature to to ANYTHING but encourage discussion, and especially when you're fortunate enough to have a "youngster" interested in Palm -- wish to God they'd been around when I was 13. It was 1987 when I got my first "organizer," a black plastic Casio 4000 with a plastic hinge and no way to ack up -- of course the hinge wore out and broke all the filaments (that ran through the hinge and fatigued!) and lost everything. We've come a long way. ANYONE with something to say is welcome in my book -- not that it's up to me to regulate this forum -- but wastefulness at any age is annoying and I think you'll realize if you've "skimmed" that it was annoyance more than productive contribution.
As far as BugMe is concerned, I take it that it conflicts with the "write anywhere" on the screen prefs of TealScript? I know that until version 3.22 TealScript also had a "drag bar" issue with sliders in programs such as AcidImage; the BugMe! thing has never been properly addressed. I was so frustrated by the drag bar thing that I abandoned T/S (briefly) and just "learned" Graffiti2. It was a pain but fixed the problem -- perhaps you should try "disabling" TealScript (blasphemy!!) and seeing just how much you use BugMe! versus the loss of write anywhere. If you have a T3 "write anywhere" comes with it, and there is another freeware app called "Graffiti Anywhere" which has just released a new more T3 compliant version (Freeware Palm).
Perhaps that could do the trick for you; it depends how much you use BugMe! and from the looks of it, it IS a powerful app.

Thanks Paul
I'm going to try the Graffiti Anywhere app and see how it works as I do use BugMe! a lot for quick jot notes with alarms.
I'll let you know how I get on as it'd be a shame to lose TealScript (thought I'd never hear you suggest such a thing!!)
Anyone know what the stroke to capture a screenshot into BugMe! is? (from where to where on the Palm)? Their documentation on this is terrible.
Cheers!

In the graffiti area do an upwards left to right stroke i.e. /
This will bring up your shortcut menu.
You should see the BugMe! icon - tap on this to "grab" the screen and away you go....

I like TealPaint for grabscreens, but it produces a 300k bitmap. Advantages are you hotsync and TealPaint PC interface brings it up to transfer to a folder.
ScreenShot produces a screen shot of LANDSCAPE (optional), also exports to the card, DOES NOT hotsync the image in an exportable format (you just take it off the card). I use these to record Saved Prefs or take a screen shot of "what's happening" to send to a developer either with a question or if I'm beta testing (which I'm doing more of these days).
I DID NOT KNOW BugMe! did screenshots. That alone would make me want to check it out -- but then there's the awful TealScript conflict. Hmmm. . . . .
If I didn't have the whole world configured in TealScript I'd probably use BUGME! because it seems to do an awful lot of "quick and needed stuff" in one application. That's handy and an efficient use of "program space."
Thank you for that tip guys!!
With regards to TealScript not being compatible .............
I would definately check out "MobileWrite". It is "fairly" new and has been awesome for me..............check it ou!
