Does anyone know of an MSN client that will work on netBook?

Hi Daniel,
Welcome back!
There is/was a program called "Messenger Force" that used to do the MSN stuff, but then protocols and things were updated at MS's end.
I am not sure whether there is a way now, unfortunately. I doubt whether Opera 5.3 or even Java1.1 have a solution now.
:(

There is an app on handango called jMSN which (for some reason) is listed with the S7 products, yet it's author says its for the SE P800/900 only.

Would anyone know of any places which may be able to port such an app to ER5?

Hi Daniel, nice to see you posting! ;)

The lack of MSN Messenger on the netBook is a source of frustration for me too - I used to make considerable use of MessengerForce, and haven't to date found a satisfactory replacement.

I've tried jMSN on my P800, which works quite nicely, but I'm not aware of it being operable on ER5 devices.

A friend of mine is using that on S5 Classic, with a certain amount of success, but I have to say it is clunky, and decidedly hit and miss in my experience.

PS: I'm moving this to the software section, since it is relevant to all EPOC machines, not just to netBook.
