Power connection on 760

Help! My wife's power/sync connection has pulled completely out of the bottom of her 760. The little tape connector is still attached. I took it apart to see if there were something I could do. I got it to stick to the connector but doubt that it will stay. Two questions:

1. Any reliable repair places (if it's worth fixing instead of replacing)?

2. Anyone know how to reattach the connection and could give directions?

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

My wife sent it to sony to be fixed and they did a pathetic job. They told her the $140 fee would cover any and all repairs needed. They reattached the power connections inside but failed to test it to see if everything was good. The connecting plug came out again, they put the same part back on (MORONS!). Now it has to go back. Beware of Sony's service.
