I have been converting Series 5 Data files (dbf) using PsiWin 2.3.3 on Office 2000 with Windows XP. I have had no problems converting the files to Access format. I recently updated to Office XP Professional and although I can still connect to the Psion, It no longer converts the files to Access format.
I get an error message "There was a problem converting the file (file name). The path cannot be found"
I have also tried just copying the file to the PC and it copies OK.
Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution?

I have been converting Series 5 Data files (dbf) using PsiWin 2.3.3 on Office 2000 with Windows XP. Where does the "dbf" bit come from? Series 5 Data files are in a proprietary format which doesn't have an extension.
I recently updated to Office XP Professional and although I can still connect to the Psion, It no longer converts the files to Access format I'm not sure that the version of Access you have installed is significant because it converts to an older version than Access 2002 (XP) anyway. What may be significant is that you have installed Office XP after PsiWin so that there could be a problem with file paths - but this really is just a guess. You could try uninstalling PsiWin, running the registry cleaner (last item on the Series 5 page of my website) and then reinstalling it.
The conversion does work because I've just tried transferring a small "Data" file from my Revo, converting it to Access and opening it with Access 2002 in Office XP, under Windows XP.

Thanks for the reply. I think that if you just copy the file to the PC, you will see that it has a dbf extension on the PC.
I installed Office XP and then I installed PsiWin. So, I am not sure if uninstalling PsiWin will solve the problem.

I think that if you just copy the file to the PC, you will see that it has a dbf extension on the PC It doesn't in my PC - it just copies across with the same name and no extension
