Sorry, but no luck on the aviation databases. I thought of that too when I got mine.

However, the iQue really doesn't have the reliability to be considered for any kind of enroute use at all. Might be Ok for flight planning, but I'm very disappointed with the reliability of my iQue. I'm sure this is why Garmin is not making their Jepp database available for the iQue. Too much liability that someone would try to use it for enroute nav.

If you want to enter routes and waypoints for VFR flight Pathaway is excellent. I fly a C180 on floats here in BC so I spend a lot of time in the mountains and high altitude lakes. I find the IQue with Pathaway works really well. I have loaded my VNC charts onto the IQue and I can navigate fine with it. It is very accurate. And Pathaway can give all kinds of info like groundspeed, elevation, time to next, distance to next, heading, bearing etc and all on the same page. There is a free demo and I recomment it.

I'm an avid pilot and was excited when Garmin put out the iQue, but was disappointed when I actually got it. So far, I've been less than forthcoming when recommending it to fellow pilots for use in aviation. However, I have come around to loving the iQue in regards to other apps and am enjoying using it on the ground.

I occasionally use it in the air and have pretty good reliability with it. I use CoPilot for Flight planning, which is an excellent program. I am waiting for GPSFlightMaster to be compatible with the iQue, and I think this combo of apps is going to be more for what you're looking for. I've used this software on another Palm/GPS combo and really like and the seamless integration with CoPilot, full screen HSI, and the moving map. It's the closest thing to a true flight management system that I've ever seen. The developer of GPSFlightMaster indicates that it'll be compatible sometime soon. Here's the link to his site:

Hopefully, this will be compatible with the iQue soon!

While it's not certified for aviation, FlightPal (http://www.flightpal.de/) has a great aviation database program. It also has a HSI page, and does aviation conversions. I having a feeling that you would like it. Click on the above link if you want to look into it. It is nice trialware, and if you register it ($20.00 USD), the "1" and "2" keys will be unlocked.

An obscure, nonsensical url I know, but try this:

www.xcski.com

He has a navaid database and app.
