Took my iQue to Florida last week and while tooling down I-75 towards Sarasota, Betty announced 'Exit right in xx mile' ([I don't remember the exact distance] and displayed the turn preview. Problem was I was 10 miles from the exit. The turn preview remained displayed for the whole 10 miles with no further voice prompts until I actually exited. At the exit Betty woke up and gave me correct directions to my destination.
Probably a software bug which keeps the preview displayed once it is up no matter how far you are from the turn unless you go off-route.
Weird.

Just a guess..
Q does two warnings for a turn (three if you count the initial instruction when you start a leg)
#1 is usually about a minute and a half away from the turn. This turn preview will stay on for a couple of seconds and then revert back to the map screen.
#2 will occur just before the turn is to be made. The turn preview will stay on until the turn is made.
My guess.... is that Q flaked out for a second or two and thought that you were right at the exit and signled that. However, when it got its bearings right... there is no "Oops... my mistake" reset and so the "final" turn preview stays up.

Sounds like a reasonable explanation. I've also noticed that the time left to the turn, when the first warning is given, is longer the better the road you are driving on. That is, highway 1:30, other major road 1:10 and so on, down to some rather short time on an unpaved road.
Since you ususally drive faster on the better roads, the actual distance increases by the square of the road class, however you now define road class raised to the power of two...

In my other Garmin products, you could define when you wanted the warning - e.g., you could say "tell me 30 (or 45 or 60) seconds ahead of time." Then, obviously, the warning comes at different times prior to the turn depending on how fast you are moving. All I can figure is that you must have been travelling about 600 mph on the interstate, and that is illegal (at least it is in Texas).
