there was a topic about sdram and the 3835.

can't seem to find it...

n e who, bought a 64mb sd (PNY) chip cuz i po' and every once in a while, my device doesn't recognize its presence. y?

I have to end up pressing the reset button on the bottom (btw ~ is that considered a hard or a soft reset?)

it'll then recognize it. maybe i ought to just ignor it.

I'm not sure what your asking. If you are asking why your card dosn't work then look down aways for a post on that topic. Also what u are doing is a soft rest. A hardreset if flipping the powere switch off and then back on.

sorry i was so unclear. what i was asking was if there was anything related to the sdram chip and/or bios and/or o.s. that was causing my file explorer to not detect the chip. btw, thx for telling me the diff between hard and soft resets. i would have thought they'd have been backwards from what you told me.
