Hi all.

I posted a question a short time ago asking if there were any free program that would allow my iPAC 3870 to sync with more than 2 PC's.

Answerdude, you pointed me to a site, I think it was MultiPartner something or other. I still have the zipped file on hand.

My problem. When ever I click to unzip it I get an error message saying:

"Please set registry key HKLM\Software|Microsoft|NETFramework|InstallRoot to point to .NET Framework install location."

What do I do? I am totally ignorant in Registry editing.

Regards

What zip file are you referring to (name would be helpful)? Have you downloaded and installed .NET framework(on the same page as the Multi Partnership program)? And where did you run this file that shows this error, on the desktop or on pocketpc?

Hi Answerdude.

The program is called "MultiPartnerSyncPPC_ARM_2002.exe"

The .Net framework I know nothing about. In the words of the immortal Redhead, bless here little heart, "Please explain".

I ran the program from a 'quarantine' folder I created on my PC desktop.

As stated on their download page, Pocket Multi Partnership Sync requires .NET Compact Framework, you need to download and install it for the program to work on the ipaq.

And after that, if the installer's still giving you problem (depending on your desktop os), there's a workaround instruction in this thread:
