Hi all.

I am certainly working you guys hard to-day :p

Final question. As mentioned in the previous post, I have been having a bit of a problem with my PC and hence my PDA.

I have noticed that I used to have a folder that appeared in My Documents on the PC that is virtually the same as the My Documents on the PDA.

In other words, I could do limited work like shifting files into and out of folders for the PDA on the PC, that folder has now disappeared. The only way I can now do such things is via the Activesync and then go to the Explore folder in the popup window.

Where did that folder go and how do I get it back?

Regards

I'm not sure where the folder went (perhaps you deleted it either ont he desktop or the pocketpc), but can you create it again normally like you create any folder either on the desktop (ie. Files--New--Folder in file explorer) or on the pocketpc?

Have you checked the recycle bin? Windows assumes that when you delete something you may want it back later. So it is stored in the recycle bin til you tell the computer to empty the recycle bin. If it is in the recycle bin, just right-click & select the Restore option, it will be restored to it's original location.
Be careful when you go into the recycle bin, all those little secrets you thought you deleted will probably be in there :)

You can put it back by going into active sync and clicking on tools, then options. some were in the list of items you can sync you should see one call "files". Enabling this will set everything up and put the shortcut on your desktop.

Hi guys.

Good info.

I started from the bottom reply first and followed Minnons instructions except I had to go.... ..

ActiveSync>LEFT click Tools (right click does not work for me here)>Options, and sure enough, the box called files was not ticked.

My Recycle bin gets empties every couple of days so it was not there Answerdude, but all is well now.

Cheers :D
