Here is where I show that I am a newbie to PDA websurfing. First, do you use your normal ISP to access the web, ie. the dial up number they provide? If so, do you need a special phone to do it? I have LG X1 and use Verizon as my carrier. I have a DSL connection buy also have the option of dialing in.
Thanks!

Here's what I do:

1) I attach my Palm 515 to my Palm Modem.

2) I use Eurdora (for Palm) as my e-mail program.

3) I configure Eudora to dial my usual ISP, using my usual username and password.

I use the IR port on my phone to dial up. I had to get a specific data line in addition to the regular line in order to be able to do this. I dial into my regular ISP and I also use Eudora as the mail program and Eudora Web as the browser - works just fine!

There are actually several alternatives to go wireless. Since your provider is Veirzon, they can also act as your ISP (so you don't need a dial-in account). You simply dial #777 as the number and use qnc for both the userid and password (qnc stands for quick network connect).

You'll need a cable that goes between your LG phone and your Palm though. You can get these at both Gomadic (http://www.gomadic.com) and The SupplyNet (http://www.supplynet.com). Gomadic's is a little cheaper and provides a little more flexibility as you can use the same cable to connect both your laptop and Palm to your LG phone.

Good luck!

Under $40 and my LGVX1 can now power my palm!
