Activsync via Bluetooth

I'm a new PPC user with an XDA II, and I would like to connect to my PC via bluetooth whilst away from my desk.
I have a USB Bluetooth adaptor for my PC, and both dev9ces recognise each other, and I can beam entries between the devices, but I cannot get Activsync to work.
Any advice on the correct settings for each device w0uld be greatly appreciated.

The biggest "A-HA!" moment came for me when I found out I had to first establish a partnership via cable BEFORE doing so with Bluetooth.
