Hi all

My wife wants to set a system password on her 5mx to protect data from prying eyes at work. Unfortunately, it seems I had set a password on it (which I never used myself) when I got it, over two years ago, and obviously to change the password you need to know the password. I don't even remember setting it, let alone what it is! Is the only way to get rid of it to do a full hard reset/backup/restore? Or is there a simpler way? (If I do this, I will restore the password too, won't I?) If I have to do this, what would I need to get rid of in the backup before restoring? I hope that's clear!

Thanks (again) in advance

Colin

I have already replied to your earlier posting in the EPOC Connect section - have you read that reply?

Yes Mike - thanks for the usual swift and helpful reply. Just read it now! I just assumed my message had gone astray (did it get moved?)

I just assumed my message had gone astray (did it get moved?) It may have been moved to the more appropriate location, but we do normally leave a "redirect" in the original location. I only saw it in the PsiWin/Epoc Connect area.
