i use my mako in school everyday as a homwork diary contact viewer paper writer mark recorder etc etc etc...
at the beginning of this school year i started a GCSE course in DT. we have been using a FANTASTIC program called PRO/Desktop (you folks across the pond should know about this as it is english). i am looking for a CAD file viewer for my revo so that i would not have to log onto the network to view my designs. i realize that this is not the kind of software one would generally put on a psion of any sort due to the processor incapability, but in my varius travels looking for revo software, i recall seeing some kind of design file viewer. thanks for looking.

ps. if you want to download a slimmed down version of PRO/Desktop go to www.ptc.com (http://www.ptc.com).

I believe there are a couple of CAD drawing/viewing programs for the MAKO on Tucows - www.epocsoftware.com - I personally have never used one but remember seeing them.

Also, if you have the capability to turn them into .pdf files, I suggest PDF+ -www.mBrainsoftware.com

Hope this helps.

i have looked and looked through the program and you can export items as jpeg tiff and bmp. if anyone knows a program that can view these types of files on the mako. sorry i should know this but i don't do much graphics work on the mako. granted one can't rotate the item in a picture view program but still it's a start.

The program that you are looking for must be nConvert from www.neuon.com

It is a wonderful conversion suites - handles .gif and .jpeg among other graphics formats plus tons of other conversion options for Word, Sheet, etc.

It is a bit memory intensive - around 1 MB with all components installed - but definitely worth it in my idea.

You can view jpeg with a web browser.

............................

I dont know if there's much advantage, but for the record you can convert images on your PC with XnView:

http://www.xnview.com/

Not much use to you, but for the 5MX you can view rotating 3DS models with T3D Test:
