A few of you may remember my complaint. MY iQue was always in satellite acquisition mode, even with the antenna folded down in the well. This was causing the GPS to always be active, which was draining the battery extraordinarily fast.

I emailed Garmin and almost immediately received an RMA number, no questions asked. Sent it back and after a few days I called about the status. I talked to Jason and he told me that a new unit was already shipped out to me. I asked about the problem and he said that they were automatically replacing any unit that came in with an antenna problem. I told him I was disappointed in the reliability of this model as compared to the other Garmin models I owned. he said that they have worked out most of the problems now and he would be surprised if I ever had another problem with my new iQue.

It sounds like Garmin is listening and responding to us...and that's a good thing.

My first Q was sent back bacause of a failed antenna (would not pick up any satellites). The replacement unit (serial 9140XXX) works flawlessly! Just as the Garmin guy said!
