You can try deleting it by open up file explorer on the ipaq then browse to My Device--Windows--Start Menu--Programs and tap&hold on the program you want to delete, you should see a popup box with option to delete.

Uninstall utility, Remover;

The icon you see in programs is only a shortcut to the program. If you tap the icon does the program start? If not the program may not actually be there and you can delete the shortcut.

If the program runs and is actually there but there is no choice in Settings/System/Remove programs so that you can uninstall it, you might try uninstalling it from your desktop. Many times pocketpc program install routines leave files on your PC. Cradle your iPAQ and go Control Panel/Remove programs on your PC and look for the program in that list, if you find it select it for uninstall and see what happens.

There is also a solution for the opposite problem. The files are gone but the program still pops up in settings> add remove programs.

This involves a small regitry hack and a little bit of deep windows diving. PM me if you cuaght this thread searching for the answer to this riddle.
