On my active sync it tells me I have an unsycronised item (so the taskbar icon is always yellow on the desktop - Syncing does not get rid of the unsyncronised item (syncing is working fine). NOTE: it is not an unresolved item.
Please help!

I couldn't think of where I saw this one while typing the earlier reply. But here is another link with several ideas for Activesync having unresolved items.

I need to learn how to read better. I am sorry for not understanding your original post where it said as plain as day that this is not an unresolved item issue. Please disregard the earlier post.

Lol. Thanks for the links anyway. I had tried the Microsoft one before just in case it worked anyway, but it didn't:(

..........turned out to be the audio note attached to the appointment that was the problem. removed the audio attachment and the appointment resolved OK. Also resolved with txt note; just doesn't like audio notes <shrug>
