Just picked up a new 1945....

Hi All. I just picked up a new 1945 today, this is my first Pocket PC. I did have a few questions about it..

1. Since I have been playing with it all day installing and un-installing I have made a mess of things.. Is there a way to reset the ROM or what not so It would be like I just pulled it out of the box?

2. I am going to be using this from entertainment most of the time and looking for alot of emulation/games .... Do MAME and any kind of Sega Genesis emulator exesist?

3. Before I go ahead and start installing stuff again, are there any *MUST HAVE* patches and/or apps that I should be looking for??

1) Do a hard reset. press the soft reset button and hold the power vutton ontill teh screen fades. Then plug it in to the power adaptter.

2) There are but I don't know where.

3) There is a rom patch from HP that updates it to v1.10. Get that.

I also noticed at boot up that I was at version 1.10.

Now I am looking for a SDIO WLAN 802.11b card. HP does not have anything listed on there page...Anyone point me in the right direction?

Your iPAQ may be a batch taht was updated to 1.1 at the factory. That's good. Go to compusa and get a SanDisk SD Connect wi-fi card. It comes to about $110 with tax and all but that is cheaper than msot online sites when you include shipping, plus it's faster. If you do get the sandisk card go to their web site and downlaod the latest drivers, DON'T USE THE DRIVER CD THAT COMES WITH IT.
