I am trying to get the Ambicom bluetooth adapter to actually do something on the PocketPC , it is able to see the avalible services on the PC's Bluetooth adapter, but I cannot send files, or setup a lan or do anything of any use, even when trying to follow the instruction of the manual for the ambicom adapter. What gives.
on a side note, what the hell were the forum administrators thinking when they upgraded the forums without in some way backing up the damn archive.

Sorry to bust in on your thread
I was wondering if you had any heartache actually installing the ambicom CF on the Pocket PC in the first place
All I get is the unrecognised card message.
I've tried installing and re-installing, and I've updated to their beta software version, but no joy
I have a Toshiba e570
cheers

Hrm forgot all bout this post. In the ipaq 3835 , the ambicom would be reconized but i could never get the software to work properly, or talk to the PC ( I assume specifically the Ambicom CF+PCMCIA device was more intended for a laptop ).
As soon as the Belkin BT PDA adapter was avalible at compUSA , I returned the ambicom one, and got the Belkin CF BT Adapter, and that has worked wonderfully with very little fuss. It was also 20$ cheaper than the ambicom at the time ( I assume you could say if you lose a CF->PC card adapter, thats 20$ off, but Belkin's PC card adapter is also 20$ less, but thats only for laptops )
I have not tried any other Mfr of Bluetooth devices yet, but I have a Belkin USB BT Adapter on the desktop, and the Belkin BT PDA Adapter for my iPaq, So I cant say if another Mfr aside from Ambicom or Belkin will work any better or worse.
