SJ30 File Link work with Windows XP

Hotsync does not seem to work with Palm desktop for Clie ver 4.0.1 with my Windows XP. The add-ons and Documents to Go work fine.

Another Clie owner suggests buying a hotsync software package since the one that came with the SJ20 did not work with her Windows XP.

Any suggestions on how to make the the ver 4.0.1 do File Link with Windows XP?

If this is hopeless, then any suggestions as to which hotsync software to buy?

Heres what to do. Load XP SP1 update. Unload Palm Desktop, and reload it from Sony Clie Disk, not version on Download.com.
Hotsync then works fine. At least it did for me. Also load Intellisync lite
