M500 and M130

hi, I am new user for handheld and, I bought M500 for my self and M130 for my wife. Can I use one common craddle for both and maintain them on one software? so that my wife can use other craddle at work.
I know M500 comes with ver. 4.0 and M130 with ver 4.1, but Can I upgrade M500 using M130 desktop ver 4.1?
