SMS Alert

Is there a way or is there a 3rd party app that adds an alert to the SMS incoming message? I have received messages and didn't know it.

Also, I use DiddleBug and love it but the alert isn't loud enough and I have missed some notes to myself. Is there a way to increase the volumn on that alert or is there another program that has a really good alert ringer?

You can go to www.palmgear.com and search for Treo Butler. It will do what your asking although the interface is a little "different" if you read the info option on each of it's various screens you configure it.
