Unable to Charge e740 on USB Cradle

After getting hooked on WiFi with 11Mbps connection, when I decided to use the Toshiba USB Cradle at work, the e740 connected to Active Sync without problems, but I noticed that the unit is losing its charge and the charge LED or status is not on!!

I disconencted the USB cable and plugged it again but no luck. Any help or suggestion would be very much appreciated.

The unit will not charge on the cradle unless accompanied by an A/C adapter. There are after market USB cables that syncronize and charge. You might want to consider that option.

That's terrible! And hard to believe....

USB already had 5 volts of power coming directly from the PC. I am surprised why Toshiba just did not utilize the USB bult-in power. Extra power adaper requirement is usually for non-standard (non-5-volt) USB devices.
