Anyone have a bad 880 battery they would like to get rid of - mine is not lasting as long as it used to and think I need to do something.
Would like to rebuild one before I need it.

If you will pardon my ignorence, how do you rebuild one (just out of curiosity)?

Since I've never been inside one I can't get to specifics. All battery packs I've seen are made up of rechargeable batteries linked together. Many of them are available through Radio Shack and Batteries plus as well as other places. You just replace the batteries. If there is only one giving trouble you can just change one.
Most can be opened carefully with a dremel tool with a saw blade cutting very carefully and not very deeply, then use a few drops of super glue.
Have done this on laptop batteries before and hoping to do it for my NEC mobilepro 880 :-)
Runs in my mind someone posted more details for one of the units on this board awhile back - do a search and it may show up.

IC, didn't know that you could fix them that way.

Hopefully anyway :-) you have to watch what is cheaper as well, have found some types of batteries are more to fix with than to get a new unit.
I got the one I have off ebay and have not been real impressed with the deal - only had it a few months and just isn't doing all that well.

Here is a battery you could get it then hopefully with it and your other battery you can keep one going for quite awhile.

May have to do that - just hoping for a very cheap dead one to experiment on :-)
