Touchscreen not responding

Several times in the last couple weeks, my E-100 has not responded to any taps or other markings I've made on its screen, even after I reset it. When it did respond, I've recalibrated it but that hasn't made any noticeable difference. Since it seems to come and go at random, I don't think the problem is related to any particular program. Moreover, the problem recurs whether the device is fully charged or not.

Any ideas?

is simply that the digitizer is getting worn, though it could be anything from a motherboard failure, or a ribbon or connector problem...

Not much you can do, and certainly not worth throwing a lot of money into...use it till it dies and then sell it for parts.
