IIIc Launch Issues

I have a palm IIIc OS v.3.5.3 that when I have an appointment reminder that goes unacknowledged the next time I turn it on it will flash on then turn off. So most of the time I have to turn it on twice. Does anyone else experience this problem. If I upgrade to OS 4 will that solve this issue?:confused:

It has been a while since I used a III series but your discription does ring a bell (oops!). I assume that you are using the standard Palm Calendar function, not a third party app such as one of the members of the DateBk family. Has this Palm always operated in this manner?

You may have a software conflict with one of the applications you have loaded to the Palm. Do you use any "hacks"; applications that requires "HackMaster" of "XMaster" to run?

Upgradeing to OS4.1 will only solve the problem if it rpresents a flaw in the OS 3.5 or a damaged OS.

I know of a hack called poweron that makes you press the power button twice before the palm will turn on. if you happen to be using this, there's your problem.
