I was using my e740 this weekend (out on the golf course) and, on my return to the house, had some problem getting the device to "turn off". I checked the battery and it indicated a 50% charge remaining. I pressed the Power button on-and-off a couple of times (to no noticeable effect), and then hit the reset button. Lo and behold! The e740 did a FULL RESET... all programs and data gone.

I thought that maybe fumbling with the power key/reset key combination caused the problem, so I began reloading. In the course of installing programs, I experienced the same problem three more times! I left it alone 'til I could put in on a charger in my office today. Now that it is fully charged, it seems to be operating just fine.

Anyone else experiencing this type of problem? Must I watch my power when it dips below 50%?

Hey check TOSHIBA'S WEBSTIE.....
There is a recall for some units with listed serial numbers... This is a defect in some units and Toshiba is offering a fix.
