Hi, I am new to this forum and to the psion 5mx

I just want to know if there is any way of creating desktop shortcuts for applications in stead of using the extras bar, I indeally want to put them into different folders, eg, games, apps, utils etc

Hi

The Psion 5mx operating system (EPOC) does not allow the creation of shortcuts "à la Windows".

However, shortcuts can be created in any folder by using a freeware application called Shortcut which you can get from http://easynet.pda.tucows.com/epoc/adnload/199476_79078.html

You may also like to try No More which lets you create shortcuts in folders and also remove the icons from the extra bar. Download it from.

There is also the great program Macro 5 which may not let you create shortcuts but it does do a lot of usefull stuff to allow to open apps, files and folders with just a couple of key strocks. Download it from.
