Hi

I remember reading somewhere about a VGA (I think it was called) card which plugs ito the netbook to allow use with an external monitor. Has anyone used this or can confirm it will work with flat screen with the below specs. (any useful web links appreciated)

For those curious why I would want to do this it is as I wish to have the screen at eye level and the keboard lower as I develop a work station to be used standing up, to experimet with good posture and I want to avoid looking down all the time, also the screen is only £200. A cheaper alternative I imagine, though I have not found this either, would be a second keyboard and then I could just put the psion at eye level. That would be a good option too as I have no problem with the psion screen.

I would add that you may find the VoyagerVGA card difficult to obtain (they now make a CF version which does not have drivers for EPOC), so if it turns out that the PCCard version supports the screen, make sure you can source the card before you buy the screen...

Thanks for the guidance Si and Yan much appreciated. I have emailed them the question and will wait and see.

I have the Colour graphics card and use it with a monitor of simular specification with no problems. I also use it with a projector and a CRT monitor, all with no problems. When I bought the card (some 4 months ago) they only had a few in stock. The problem is drivers for the CF version, they don't appear to have the EPOC knowhow to produce these. If anyone out there wants to write the drivers then I think they would listen.

Thanks for that Beakynet. I hope this is not a daft question but does the picture from the netbook fill the 15" flatscreen it feeds to or does it appear within the screen - like a smaller window - the same size as the netbook screen

The image fills the screen on all displays I have tried. On the output of the screen the 640x480 fills the screen and the presentation at 800x600 also fill the screen, the monitor handles the change in the input resolution.
