I am getting the following message when I try to hot sync my palm after upgrading the desktop.
"an application on the PC failed to respond to a confirmation query. the application may need to be restarted"
I reset the palm and am still getting the message.
Any help would be most appreciated!

though i wouldn't know the exact problem here, resetting your palm will probably not make much difference (the error refers to a failure made on you're PC).
does the hotsync app show up when you try to hotsync?
- if not try exiting hotsync (on your PC) and restarting it, if the used comport is not available it should tell so, and you should make it available.
- if so look into the hotsync log to find what's wrong, if it doesn't mention a problem first try resetting, then try reinstalling (make sure you use an up to date version (http://www.palm.com/software/desktop/)) the program.
