The Quick installation app forces the txt. files to the SD card refusing access to the memory of the handheld. Anybody knows the reason for this ??
How can I transfer them to the handheld in order to be able to read them with Memo app ?

The only file types you can put in RAM are .prc and .pdb (the Palm native formats). Any other file types have to go onto the card.
To put them in Memo Pad, you can use Palm Desktop. Open the text file, Select All/Copy, then Paste into a new memo. Then HotSync.
(There are also a few apps that will let you read .txt files on an expansion card. VFSi will do that as well as view .bmp and .jpg images, and it's freeware. You can also edit .txt files and even create new .txt files in VFSi.)

WordSmith and TealDoc will recognize plain text if run through any kind of "converter" on the desktop (both programs do this); in essence they convert what Telyx said to, in fact, a pdb. You can then put plain text on the handheld.
Often when I "TealDoc" a Notepad pasting of web info, for example, it shows up in BOTH TealDoc and WordSmith. I move the TEalDoc version to the card, and can still edit the document in WordSmith.
Now that point is moot, however, since TealDoc allows document EDITING on the handheld as well as the card.
