I bought my first IPAQ (3970) I have previously used Palms... I really enjoy it but am just returning to work and I'm not sure how to sync with Novell Groupwise - my buildings network/calendar program. Please don't tell me it can't be done as I'm past the 30 day money back time!!!!

You have a couple of options for syncing with Groupwise. They are as follows:
1. Install Intellisync for Pocket PC. You can get it at http://www.pumatech.com. There is also have an evaluation version available at the site.
2. Assuming your company has the web access module installed for Groupwise and you have a wireless connection, you can log into Groupwise using Pocket Internet Explorer or any other web browser.
3. It is possible to retrieve your Groupwise email from within Outlook. You need to enter the IP address of your Groupwise server as the name of your POP3 and SMTP servers and type in your Novell username and password.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

Intellisynch is the only way I know how to get the calendar information. To get your email you'll need to ask your GW administrator to allow either POP3 or IMAP access. They should also give you the IP address of either. Enter that information in on the IPAQ's email and you'll be able to send receive emails via a wireless connection in your office.

The latest version of Intellisync will actually allow you to synchronize email without configuring IMAP or POP. During installation, it checks if you have the GroupWise client software installed on your workstation. If the client software is installed and you are logged onto the Novell network, Intellisync automatically detects the settings and downloads your email messages without asking for POP or IMAP settings.
