I do have flip-up acq problems but I don't really use that anymore, preferring instead my Gilsson antenna. I've never been happy with my battery life, and I think mine is worse than what most get. I need to time how long it takes for it to die and post the results and see if I'm on the line or below it. I also have a spooky QueTrip problem (many know what I'm on about it!) so the sum of the three faults may influence my decision to send it back for inspection. Chilao 05-15-2004, 10:44 AM Bokkie, I'm in the same predicament. My unit is 9020xxxx. I have two external antennas so it wasn't a problem when my internal one fried. Everything else works great. I have some minor crashes and soft resets, but that seems to happen in every aspect of my life. What are the changes of getting another haunted one as a replacement? with more significant glitches? reinbeau 05-15-2004, 11:29 AM I think the chances of you getting another unit with problems is slim. The unit I got on my second RMA has worked flawlessly since I received it (new unit). Knock wood! Chilao 05-15-2004, 11:42 AM Ann, I was waiting for you to reply to this thread.... How did you make sure your replacement was new? Did you do the purchase-replace-refund method to eliminate your time without a PDA? reinbeau 05-15-2004, 11:49 AM Originally posted by Chilao Ann, I was waiting for you to reply to this thread.... No, I asked them when I had sent it back in (by phone) and they assured me they would replace it, not refurb or replace it with a refurb, and the paperwork that came back with it said it was a new unit. I was iQue-less for only five days. audscott 05-15-2004, 12:12 PM Originally posted by Chilao Ann, I was waiting for you to reply to this thread.... How did you make sure your replacement was new? (Anne'esk Knock) to my understanding, RMA'ing with advance shipment of replacement from Garmin will guarentee a new unit. Draw-back (if you want to call it that) is a charge on your CC until they receive the RMA'd unit. I rely on mine so heavily (like most do, I suppose) I can't imagine daily life without it. Curious Cat 05-15-2004, 12:12 PM Chilao, See the 2nd paragraph in my RMA post. CC's Return (http://www.pdastreet.com/forums//showthread.php?threadid=37756) edit: just noticed, look who's the 4th post down... :) Bokkie 05-15-2004, 01:01 PM Originally posted by reinbeau Knock wood! Now to pick a week without job site meetings, staff meetings, little league games, wine tasting classes….. funbob 05-16-2004, 12:02 AM I just have this weird feeling my iQue is going to develop a mysterious problem around the middle of August... :D :D PDA Street
