Clie nr70- DESPERATE FOR HELP!!!

I inherited my husband's NR 70, he had been usin g it on a PC, I will be using Mac OS X. I absolutely can't hot sync. I've done a hard reset, erased all data, so it is basically out of the box condition, When I hot sync, it says the port is in use by another app. I've gone back to his PC, deleted all palm related apps & still not working!
What more can I do? Also, there is no installer on the installation CD & it is full of exe apps. I know that the clie & mac can work together because I was using the PEG 615 w/ my Mac.
Please please help. He got the new NX 70V, I don't want to go back to the 615.....

Actually the NR70 does NOT work with the Mac out of the box. The 615 did but it was a fluke. I believe that all Clies with the 6XX digits work with Macs but the Nr70 definately does not. You need to purchase a piece of software called The Missing Sync from http://www.markspace.com

Sorry for the bad news but I hope this helps!
BTW:
That new iSync that Apple came out with may have just made that all obsolete so it MAY work now.
