Hi,
How do I Import a list of waypoints to mY iQue? I have a list of points in a comma separated file with the format;
longtitude,lattitude,name

Is it possible to enter them to my iQue all in once using palm desktop perhaps?

Thanks

If you can get them into Mapsource (the program), then you can save/export them to the mps format. That format can be read by the Transfer Waypoints program, which in turn can be downloaded from Garmin's web site.

Hi ,
MapSource is the program which came with iQue? I don't think I used it but will give it a try.

Thank you.

The Mapsource program isn't delivered with the iQue, but you can download it from Garmin's website.
If Mapsource can't import your textfile, then search the web for GPSBabel. That's a conversion utility between virtually all imaginable GPS-related file formats.

I already downloaded the gpsbabel (from http://gpsbabel.sourceforge.net/ ) but am not very successful with it. Although the screenshots show a good GUI i don't seem to get it. And the site doesnot give examples of file formats, i mean although they say text file they don't give an example so I am always in error!

I also found another translater program in http://wayhoo.com/index/a/ct/form/1/

so should give it a try to-day.

But all this is to get a simple job done! To get some waypoint to the iQue!! I don't understand why they make it so difficult!:confused:

It seems that someone made it difficult, by having the waypoints in such a format to begin with.
Not having Mapsource in front of me right now, I have to ask: Isn't there a text format that's understood by Mapsource directly?
