Can't receive business cards errrr!

I have a TT3 and am running PDA Performance Contacts 5 and I love it. i was at staples tonight and bumped into a friend who i had not seen in ages. I beamed my business card with no problem but when he tried to beam me his it didn't work! errrr why?

What kind of PDA does your friend have? If it is a Pocket PC then there are some compatability issues. To get around the compatability issues, the Pocket PC needs to have Peacemaker Pro installed on it. The program can be purchased at

Sometimes even though "Beam Receive" is ON, it doesn't come through. All the excitment about beaming slams to a grinding halt and you spend longer trying to figure it out than if you'd just written it down. . . .

I found the quickest fix (if "fixing" was possible) was a SOFT RESET. After that it worked fine. Problem is, there's no way to TEST it unless you're in that situation again.

I have teal lock and am loving it. I went ahead and made a custom lock screen for it as well. But now it says that the IR port is busy? Whats up with that?

Hey all,

Everytime I try and unlock my palm off of teallock it gives me this error and makes me soft reset. could this be a cause of why my ir doesn't work?

error message: IrLIB.c,Line:580, Cannot open infared port in background (may be busy). <Reset button>

....is there a similar programme for the Palm? Had a very superficial look at the conduits link but it didn't jump off the page and slap me around the face.
