I'm writing from a major university...

We are developing an application to show some search results as a visual map...

So instead of building an application just for the PocketPC users (that they'll need to go through the trouble of installing) and beaming them the coordinates...

I am thinking if I could just beam the picture - and display it in a Pocket Internet Explorer...
But also:

1) Which Palm devices would be able to receive (via infrared) a 24bit .jpg file 350x440 and 0.1 MB in size and display it in a scrollable window so that every pixel would be seen?

2) Which cellphones would be able to do the same?

3) Which other devices/PDA's would also be able to display such a picture?

Basically I would want you to confirm that your device would be able to support the operation described above.

*4) Please state your device model, os version, program that will be displaying the image, options... (this will be helpful for building a help file)

*5) Also please state the divices you've had extended experience with and that will definatly not be able to perform the operation above!

(As you might of guessed I'm a power PocketPC user, but I encourage use of all devices)
Thank you...

The application AcidImage (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&SID=56583077-CF18-AC2E-7171FAAB804134C9&PartnerREF=&prodID=44502) would work perfectly. It allows you to open an image at 100% and scroll. See the link for supported models.
