I was trying to load and view my ARCHIVE file on my home PC to get some info from. In order to do so I had to create a new personal folder and defaulted to the OUTLOOK TODAY folder which my Ipaq H5555 gets its appt, etc from. The new folder only had the archive file and not my appt, contacts etc.

So when I synced my ipaq, it gave me a message about coping ALL of my data because the folder changed. I clicked the wrong button and therefore removed all my appt, contacts, tasks etc from my ipaq!!!

Now I could restore from my last backup which was 6 weeks ago but it still will not update new info because it is rading the wrong folder. Any help on if I can copy all info to the new OUTLOOK TODAY FOLDER or better yet to delete that so my ipaq will go back to reading the other folder.

thanks

I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, but I've had to re-establish synching my PPC to Outlook, where the data in my PPC wasn't correct, but the data in Outlook was.

I believe that you have the newer version of HP's restore... You can backup everything BUT the Outlook data. Do that, then delete all relationships between your PPC and your computer.

Do a restore of your PPC, which will replace all the programs, files, etc except for what's on Outlook.

Then re-establish a relationship between your PPC and computer... It should replace all the data in your PPC with what's in Outlook.
