Does anybody has an idea how I can use my Treo via USB (better IR) as an Modem for my Laptop. How ever I configurate my 'Connection' I never am able to find an additional Modem. My OS is Windows 2000 which is NOT simulating a COM Port for the IR Channel!

Hey there Peter,
I know your Treo can act as a modem to your laptop via IR (InfraRed). I read at another forum that people have done it. I am waiting to get my new laptop in order to try it. Lets keep this post alive and if you find any info post here. As soon as I figure out how to do it I will post it here also,

If you got a small external (or internal, if you have room inside) for your laptop, you could hook up the phone-line that the modem wants to the Treo, then BOOM? This is my theory.
