A month ago I had my screen replaced on my Psion 5mx. After that, I had to restore my files - so far so good.
Issue #1: However, although I did nothing like loading new programs, I can not any more open concurrently 2 (or more) data files.
Issue #2: I also have problems in synchronizing my Psion to ANY PC. It produces a message like "synchronisation finished abnormally" or "synchronisation failed" (I 'll check it out and write here the exact phrasing).
Does anyone have any idea why these happen and how I can fix any of those problems?

Issue #1:

The Psion will have been hard reset when repaired, which will have reset all your System settings. In System, go File.. Tools.. Preferences.. and change the 'Open multiple file' option to 'Enter'.

Issue #2:

Synchronisation requires additional software both within Psiwin on the PC and on the Psion. AFAIK the only way to install the sync software on the Psion is to reinstall Psiwin. To do this successfully, it is imperative that Psiwin's registry entries are removed. Never fear though, there is an explanation of the complete Psiwin reinstall procedure in my FAQ at the URL below.

After you have done this, I suggest getting hold of and installing the two synchronisation updates that are available at www.psion.com/myPsion , in the software downloads section.
