Hi,

I have a Jornada 720 & Rex 5k. Have the TrueSync synchronisation working, except that I have to turn off the calendar sync otherwise the program crashes.

Anyone else have this problem?

Is there a solution?

All the best,

Adam.

I have the same problem with a Jornada 820 and Rex 3000, have you found a solution yet?

Yup, I did find a solution. However, I can't quite remember it! I think that it involved turning off some repeating calendar events...

Probably the best bet is to take out all calendar events, make sure you can synchronise, then put different types of them in until you can't!

Hope that helps,

Adam.

Great thanks! I actually got it working this past weekend.
It did appear to have something to do with that. Here's what I did for anyone else who may struggle with this and may happen to read this:

I synced my Jornada up with my computer (something I don't normally do). One thing this did, was clean up all my old calendar appointments (I'm pretty sure it deleted every past event).

The next time I tried syncing w/ my Rex, it worked.

So after much frustration, trial and error, and prayer, it worked out!

Thanks! Hope this helps anyone else who may struggle with this.

I use the Rex Pro strictly as portable reference (rarely enter anything, just copy data from Outlook to have it in my pocket).

I was able to cure synch problems by using the configuration/synchronize/advanced/options menu and selecting "only use data from this client for synchronization."

The synch arrows then point one way (from client to Rexpro), and I simply download (and overwrite) onto the cute little bugger.

This was I have all my home desktop's Outlook appointments, contacts, notes, lists, etc. handy for personal reference everywhere.

It's a work-around, but how many of us actually enter data into Rex?
