Theoretically yes - however, the only PC Card USB Adapters I know of are Cardbus, which will not work in any pocket pc.
There is an option though - use a PC to CF Card adapter, and get the existing CF Card USB adapter, found at http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/products/subpages/cfu1u.html
You may be able to find a PC Card type that's not Cardbus if one exists.
Hope this helps.

IMHO there were USB 1.1 cards that doesn´t have cardbus.
i hoped that someone knows a place where i could still get one.

i think you may want to forget it. Even if you managed to get one of these PCMCIA USB card that comes with PPC drivers, your PDA may not have sufficient power to run your USB harddisk

the power is the smallest problem.
i have allready one ofh this (http://www.pocketpcpassion.com/archive/casio/DennisWolfe/BatteryExtender/BatteryExtender.htm) nice battery packs. to rechage my PDA with batterys which doesn´t work anymore in my digital camera. most times they still have enough energy to recharge my PDA. and i tryed to use this pack allready with my harddisk.
