I have Palm Desktop for Clie 4.01 for my T615C. My datebook and addresses sync to Outlook, which is fine, but I let the To Do and the Memopad sync with the desktop since I didn't really have an app for them.
However, I just noticed that neither the ToDo nor the Memopad are syncing back to the Desktop--there are some rather older versions of those files on the Desktop, nowhere near what's currently on the handheld. The Outlook syncs work fine, just not the syncs to the Desktop. It has belatedly occurred to me that the memopad & to do are probably not being backed up because of this.
The Intellisync Configure utility is currently showing version 5.00.03, so I think I probably screwed something up by trialiing a version of Intellisync-NOT-lite. Does this version not work with the Desktop v.4.01?
I'm guessing my only option is to just reinstall IS from the CD, but are there any other solutions?
TIA

just sync all of your stuff to outlook, its better to have it there than nowhere

I wound up completely uninstalling the Desktop, and scouring it out of the registry, and that did the trick. Probably didn't need to search the registry for traces, but it didn't hurt. In any event, it's now working correctly.
However, your comment does bring up another question: If you sync the memopad to Outlook, where does it go in Outlook? I have Outlook 98 at work, and Outlook 2000 at home (although I don't use it at home). The ToDo, Dates, and Address books are obvious, but not the memopad.
Thanks!

epack,
The Memo Pad links to the Oulook Notes, ToDo to Tasks. It is a very nice set up.

DUH! Of course! I knew about ToDo-to-Tasks, but as I don't ever use the Notes functionality (nor the Tasks, for that matter, just Contacts and Calendar), it didn't come to me intuitively :)
Thanks!

My ToDo list is ever growing. If you need some ToDoes I would be happy to share. Actually I suspect the proper term is "delegate", and of course I don't deleagate!

HAHAHA! I didn't say I don't HAVE ToDo tasks, I just don't USE the Outlook Tasks function!! :)
Maybe we can pick and choose between our respective tasks--you can have the ones I hate and I can have the ones you hate!! :D

"Pick and choose." That is a novel approach!
As it is, when I get to a ToDo I am frustrated by, I go to PalmBlvd and blow 30 minute. That builds the stress level to get on the ToDo. Then I look at the ToDo and must decide to actually get the ToDo done or go back to PalmBlvd. Where am I?
Errrr!
Procrastinate! Who made up that word?

i have just had exactly the same problem.
solution:
1. uninstall palm desktop from your PC
2. Reinstall it TO SAME DIRECTORY
3. you will get the notice like : 'some of your sync settings are set to 3rd party applications - do you want to reset them?'
4. choose option of resetting to DEFAULT.
good luck
